MC (Miscellaneous) Channel

Superior Steel Supply inventories, distributes and saw cuts a wide range of carbon MC channel, also referred to as Miscellaneous Channel or Ship Channel. Carbon MC channels typically range from 3” x 7.1#/ft to 18” x 58#/ft and primarily come in 20’ & 40’ lengths. Mills can produce MC channel in other lengths, but minimum order volumes may apply.

MC channel produced domestically are primarily done by the use of Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF) that use 95%+ post-consumer recycled scrap.
MC channels are mild steel and may be produced from the mill that could meet multiple grade specifications simultaneously including ASTM A36, ASTM A572 grade 50, CSA 44W and CSW 44W50.

MC channels are generally used in the wide array of steel applications including non-residential building, manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, structural fabrication, marine vessels and MRO (maintenance, repair and operational) needs.
MC channels are a popular selection for use in the above applications as they are commonly saw cut, drilled, laser cut, formed, welded and can be industrially coated.
