Mechanical tube produced domestically can either be from flat roll coils generated by an Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF) that use 95%+ post-consumer recycled scrap or by flat roll coils generated by integrated mills that use iron ore, cooked coal (coke) and limestone.
Mechanical tube may be produced from the mill in several grade specifications including ASTM A513 or ASTM A500.
