Mechanical Tube

Superior Steel Supply inventories, distributes and saw cuts a wide range of mechanical tube. Mechanical tubes typically range from 1/2” x 1/2” to 2” x 2” and primarily come in 20’ lengths. Superior Steel Supply can saw cut your angle requirements down to size with our inhouse saw service.
Mechanical tube produced domestically can either be from flat roll coils generated by an Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF) that use 95%+ post-consumer recycled scrap or by flat roll coils generated by integrated mills that use iron ore, cooked coal (coke) and limestone.
Mechanical tube may be produced from the mill in several grade specifications including ASTM A513 or ASTM A500.

Mechanical tubes are generally used in the wide array of steel applications including handrail, decorative, manufacturing, transportation and MRO (maintenance, repair and operational).
Mechanical tubes are a popular selection for use in the above applications as they are commonly saw cut, drilled, laser cut, machined, welded and can be industrially coated.
