Structural Tube

Superior Steel Supply inventories, distributes and saw cuts a wide range of structural tube also known as HSS (Hollow Structural Sections). Structural tubes typically range from 2 1/2” x 2 1/2” to 16” x 16” and primarily come in 20’, 40’, 48’ lengths, but also include other lengths as well. Superior Steel Supply can saw cut your angle requirements down to size with our inhouse saw service.
Structural tube produced domestically can either be from flat roll coils generated by an Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF) that use 95%+ post-consumer recycled scrap or by flat roll coils generated by integrated mills that use iron ore, cooked coal (coke) and limestone.
Structural tube is generally produced from the mill in ASTM A500 grade B or C.

Structural tubes are generally used in the wide array of steel applications including construction, building columns, steel fabrication, manufacturing, transportation and MRO (maintenance, repair and operational).
Structural tubes are a popular selection for use in the above applications as they are commonly saw cut, drilled, laser cut, machined, welded and can be industrially coated.
